Overview
The Development wing of Evangelical Association of Malawi (EAM) is inviting qualified persons to fill
existing vacancies in its advocacy department as follows:
Advocacy Coordinator (1)
Tenable in Lilongwe the Advocacy Coordinator will be responsible for the successful implementation of the Evangelical Association of Malawi’s advocacy and good governance programs
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the process of developing the organization’s short and long-term governance and
advocacy agenda. - Support the Advocacy Manager in resource mobilization efforts for various advocacy initiatives in line with EAM’s advocacy strategic objectives
- Assist Churches and Citizens to strengthen their knowledge and skills/capacities to effectively
participate in advocacy programming processes. - Support the implementation of the governance programs including capacity building, proposal
writing, policy research quality control,financial management,documentation,monitoring and
evaluation, reporting etc. - Provide technical support to the District Advocacy officers in the implementation of advocacy
activities. - Actively participate in mobilizing resources for various EAM programs.
- Carry out other duties as may be determined by management from time to time
Required Qualifications and Experience
- A graduate in Social Sciences related to the position in question.
- Basic training in advocacy/campaign.
- At least 5 years programming experience in policy advocacy,stakeholders engagement and
governance with local NGOs in Malawi. - Very good understanding of national policies and strategies, programs and stakeholders in Malawi within advocacy and policy discourse.
