Job description
The Area Sales Manager is a critical role in achieving sales targets, developing and implementing sales strategies, and managing a team of sales representatives.
You’ll be in charge of:
- Setting sales targets for the area or territory and ensuring they are met or exceeded.
- Developing strategies and tactics to drive sales growth and revenue.
- Recruiting, training, and managing a team of sales representatives or sales executives.
- Dividing the assigned area or territory into smaller segments and allocating resources effectively.
- Identifying target markets, analyzing market trends, and determining sales routes to achieve sales objectives.
- Conducting market research to understand customer preferences, market trends, and competitive activities, and analyzing competitor strategies, pricing, and product offerings.
- Preparing and analyzing sales reports, including sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback, and Providing insights and recommendations to senior management based on data analysis.
- Collaborating with marketing, and operations teams to ensure alignment of sales activities with overall business objectives.
- Identifying training and development needs of the sales team.
- Developing and managing the sales budget for the area or territory.
More about YOU:
- You have a degree in business, sales (or similar) with 3+ years of experience in sales
- and sales team management
- A Proven track record of successfully achieving sales targets and managing a sales territory or team
- In-depth knowledge of the renewable energy sector
- Strong leadership and management abilities
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- A customer-centric mindset and the ability to understand customer needs and preferences
- Highly motivated and driven to achieve sales targets with excellent strategic thinking skills
- You are obsessed with time management, prioritization of tasks, and the ability to manage and track multiple streams of work and report on the progress
- Strong interpersonal skills with the excellent ability to build and maintain relationships
- Able to demonstrate integrity, ethics, and professionalism in all aspects of their work.
- Must have experience in:
- Working with fast-paced early-stage organizations.
- Clear expertise in MS Office: Excel, Word & PPT.
Location, travel and start date:
- You will be based in Blantyre.
- Traveling up to 80% of your time across specific regions.
- The applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
