Position: Business Development Officer (BDO)
Location: Area 4, Lilongwe
Reports to: CEO
Contract Type: Full-Time
Role Level: Mid–Senior Leadership

ROLE OVERVIEW

AgriKwik Ltd is seeking a highly strategic, intelligent, and results-driven Business Development Officer to lead partnerships, drive revenue expansion, manage corporate registrations, and position AgriKwik for long-term investment and growth.
This is one of the most critical roles in our company—responsible for unlocking markets, securing high-value partnerships, building corporate relationships, and supporting the CEO in investor-facing activities.
The ideal candidate must be professional, articulate, confident, well-presented, and capable of representing AgriKwik at the highest levels, including with government, private sector leaders, and international organizations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Strategic Partnerships & Corporate Growth

  • Identify, approach, and secure partnerships with agro-dealers, official stores, suppliers, financial institutions, NGOs, and government agencies.

  • Prepare and negotiate partnership agreements, MOUs, and long-term contracts.

  • Drive growth of AgriKwik’s service arms

  • Represent the company in B2B meetings, exhibitions, and industry events.

2. Investor Engagement & Corporate Structuring

  • Assist the CEO in investor pitching, fundraising preparation, and due diligence documentation.

  • Prepare pitch decks, investment briefs, revenue forecasts, and performance updates.

  • Support in company structuring, shareholder documentation, legal registrations, and compliance.

3. Revenue Expansion & Market Development

  • Identify new market opportunities and high-potential growth areas.

  • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer needs assessments.

  • Build revenue models and propose strategic business initiatives.

  • Develop strategies to increase merchant onboarding, order volume, and platform usage

4. Contract Management & Compliance

  • Draft, review, and manage commercial contracts.

  • Ensure all agreements meet professional, legal, and compliance standards.

  • Maintain organized and confidential contract records.

5. Corporate Representation

  • Serve as an official representative of AgriKwik in strategic meetings.

  • Present with confidence, clarity, and professionalism.

  • Uphold the values and long-term vision of AgriKwik at all times.

6. Reporting & Coordination

  • Provide weekly and monthly business development reports.

  • Work closely with Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Intel teams.

  • Track KPIs, targets, and performance of partnership initiatives.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Minimum Qualifications

Degree in:

  • Business Administration

  • Economics

  • Marketing

  • Entrepreneurship

  • Strategic Management

  • Finance

  • Or any related field

Desirable Experience

  • Experience in business development, sales, marketing, or corporate relations

  • Experience in agro-industry, logistics, tech, fintech, or retail is an added advantage

  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills

  • Knowledge of contract drafting or corporate documentation
