Position: CAD Draughtsman/Technician

EMD Consulting Engineers is a Civil Engineering Consulting Firm based in Blantyre, with assignments across Malawi. The firm provides multi-disciplinary services in the following sectors:

• Irrigation Engineering

• Water Supply and Sanitation

• Structural and Building Engineering

We are looking to recruit a CAD Draughtsman/Technician to support our Engineering Projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Create 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and other CAD software.

• Interpret and visualize designs from engineers.

• Produce detailed technical drawings for construction and other relevant projects.

• Ensure drawings adhere to industry standards and specifications.

• Collaborate with other drafters and team members.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams on design changes and updates.

• Organize and maintain drawing files and project documentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant CAD software.

• Strong understanding of technical drawing principles.

• Experience with 2D and 3D modeling.

• Knowledge of engineering and architectural design principles.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Relevant qualifications in engineering, architecture, or a related field.

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Experience in civil engineering and construction work.

• Familiarity with industry-specific standards and regulations.

• Experience with other CAD software packages.
