POSITION: DISTRICT LIAISON OFFICERS- INTERNS (4)

Report to The Team Leader of PACOSALI Foundation Limited (PFL)

Location: Chikwawa, Machinga, Kasungu and Balaka.

PACOSALI Foundation Limited (PFL) is a non-profit organization working in Mulanje, Thyolo, Blantyre, Chikwawa, Nsanje, Zomba, Machinga, Balaka, Mzimba, Dedza and Phalombe with a primary interest to uplift the livelihood of less privileged societies. The organization, among others, strives to achieve community transformation through social empowerment programs in Education, Health, Infrastructure development and provision of farm inputs. Largely, it has economic empowerment programs that are in line with the Malawi 2063 agenda. With the increased impact in the communities and increased portfolio, PF wishes to engage the services of District Liaison Officers- Interns for Chikwawa, Machinga, Kasungu and Balaka.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Mobilizing and creating demand for PFL loans and products in the District by conducting meetings and registration of savings groups.
  • Responsible for marketing PFL products to community savings groups through community Volunteers.
  • Managing Community Volunteers and all savings groups in the District.
  • Monitoring daily communications and answering any queries on behalf of PFL.
  • Updating and maintaining procedural documentation.
  • Provision of statutory reports (daily, weekly, monthly and annual report)

  • Extremely organized in a manner that is easily read by others.
  • Trustworthy and discreet when dealing with confidential information.
  • Administrative and marketing skills.
  • The applicant must with experience in micro-credit services as well as the VSLA model will have an added advantage.
  • Timely submission of reports for swift decision making

QUALIFICATION

  • Degree in Social Sciences/ Social Work/ Community Development/ Agricultural Economics and any other related fields from a well-recognized institution.
  • Those with a Diploma in the above fields should have a minimum of 2 years related experience working with microfinance institutions.
  • Females are encouraged to apply.
