Job Title: Food and Beverage Cost Controller

Location: Mponela

Chikho Hotel is looking for the services of Food and Beverage (F&B) Cost Controller. This role
requires a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual who will be responsible for managing
the financial aspects of the food and beverage operations. The F&B Cost Controller will ensure
that the restaurant or hotel is profitable and that the costs associated with food and beverage are
tightly controlled. The F&B Cost Controller will also be responsible for overseeing inventory
management, cost analysis, and pricing strategies. They work closely with the executive chef and
restaurant manager to ensure that the menu items are priced correctly and that food and beverage
costs are in line with budget expectations.

F&B Controller

Duties and responsibilities of F&B Controller

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Keeping proper records of all GRNs` and LPO`s
  • Forwarding all GRNs` to the payments office for payment.
  • Updating stores records for all the items received,
  • Issuing goods from stores to user departments with duly authorized requisition notes (Stores Stock control).
  • Coordinating with suppliers concerning goods delivery.
  • Performing Physical Stock takings everywhere(Monthly)
  • Preforming Physical Stock taking every 10 days at the Bar.
  • Capturing closing stocks into Sage 300 ERP and reconciliation of Stocks Accounts in Sage.
  • Controlling of the Food and Beverage Cost of organizations.
  • System based issuing of goods to various expense accounts using SAGE ERP Accounting package,
  • Coordination of Monthly Departmental Cost budgets
  • Performing physical stock takings monthly.
  • Production of inventory Management Reports (Monthly).
  • Production of Beverage and Food Cost reports(Monthly)
  • Production of Cost Management reports.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma in Accounting
  • Minimum three years’ experience in a similar position and must have excellent computer skills,
    especially Microsoft office (Word and Excel), and sage 50 accounting system.
