Group Head of Human Resources

Department: Human Resources

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Group’s human resources function across multiple business units.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and programs that support organizational goals and promote a high-performance culture.
  • Lead workforce planning, talent acquisition, performance management, and succession planning initiatives.
  • Oversee compensation and benefits, learning and development, and employee relations to enhance employee engagement and retention.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on HR and people-related matters.
  • Champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and organizational values at all levels.
  • Manage and mentor the HR team, fostering professional growth and effectiveness.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field (Bachelor’s Degree with strong experience will be considered).
  • A minimum of 15 years’ progressive HR leadership experience, preferably in large or group-level organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of Malawian labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated capacity for strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making.
