POSITION
Human Resources (HR) Officer / Recruitment Officer
Location: Area 4, Lilongwe
Reports to: CEO
Contract Type: Full-time
Role Overview
We are looking for a responsible, organized, and people-focused HR Officer to handle recruitment, onboarding, staff management, and basic HR administration.
This role is perfect for someone passionate about helping a fast-growing tech company build strong, dependable teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Recruitment & Hiring

Advertise job vacancies
-
Receive and manage applications (email & WhatsApp)

Shortlist candidates professionally
-
Conduct initial screening/interviews
-
Prepare contracts and offer letters
-
Recruit field agents across Malawi
2. Onboarding & Staff Management
-
Create and maintain staff files
-
Ensure all documentation is properly submitted
-
Conduct basic staff orientation
-
Track performance, attendance, and field reports
-
Maintain HR records (contracts, IDs, CVs, forms)
3. HR Administration
-
Prepare staff lists
-
Maintain confidentiality of all personal data
-
Handle staff communication and updates
-
Support CEO with HR reports and summaries
-
Maintain discipline procedures (warnings, notices)
4. Office & Team Support
-
Assist during training sessions
-
Coordinate interviews, schedules, and notices
-
Work closely with the Secretary, Operations, and Field Agent teams
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Minimum Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in:

Human Resource Management
-
Business Administration
-
Public Administration
-
Social Sciences
-
Or any related field
Required Skills
-
Strong communication (English & Chichewa)

Basic HR knowledge (recruitment, staff files, contracts)

Good computer skills (Word, Excel, Email, PDFs)

Highly organized and dependable

Ability to work under pressure
