Applications are invited from suitably qualified Malawians, Civil Servants or non-civil servants, as the case may be, depending on the requirements of the post, for the vacancies listed below existing in the Civil Service:

Post: Information Laboratory Technology (Grade I)
Salary: Within the Grade I salary scale segment
Location: Department of E-Government
Qualifications:
Applicants should be in possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following fields: Computer Science, Business Information Technology, Computing and Information Systems, Electrical Engineering and Electronics, obtained from accredited institutions.
Duties
(a) Installing and updating software applications for courses, research and other activities;
(b) Proving first level hardware and soft maintenance;
(c) Advising the Deputy Principal on status of computing facilities;
(d) Training sessions and workshops to help users become familiar with lab equipment;
(e) Providing support services;
(f) Preparing and submitting status reports of equipment;
(g) Developing, administering and maintaining networks;
(h) Troubleshooting network-related issues that arise;
(i) Maintain inventory of lab equipment; and
(j) Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Note: Documentary evidence of major requirements specified in the advertisement shall be required during interviews. Serving officers will also be required to demonstrate during the interviews
that they are permanent and pensionable officers in the Civil Service by producing letters of confirmation in appointment in addition to letters of condition of appointment on probation (PSR 19).
