Position: Laboratory Technician
No. of Posts: 4 (2 per site)
China Railway 20 Bureau Group Corporation Mw Ltd, a reputable construction company undertaking the Upgrading of Road Network Project in Mzimba District (Embangweni & Eswazini), seeks to engage qualified and motivated individuals to fill the position of Laboratory Technician. The successful candidates will be part of the site quality control team, working under the supervision of the Materials Engineer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Materials Engineer in conducting materials testing and quality control activities.
- Perform field and laboratory tests on soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials.
- Prepare and maintain accurate test records, logs, and laboratory reports.
- Ensure that laboratory equipment is properly handled, calibrated, and maintained.
- Collect and prepare samples for testing in accordance with project specifications and standards.
- Support site inspections and advise on compliance with material quality requirements.
- Observe strict safety standards and laboratory protocols.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma/Certificate in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, or Laboratory Technology.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in materials testing on road construction projects.
- Familiarity with both field and laboratory testing procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of relevant road construction standards will be an added advantage.
Duty Station:
- 2 Laboratory Technician will be based at Embangweni Site
- 2 Laboratory Technician will be based at Eswazini Site
