Job Title: Laundry Attendant

Key Responsibilities:

• Cleaning machines before and after use.
• Sorting laundry according to colors and dirtiness for proper washing and care.
• Wash, dries and presses laundry by following manufacturer’s recommendations and owners instruction.
• Checking machines for proper functioning before use.
• Listens to service concerns and acts accordingly.
• Load laundry according to weight capacity of machines to avoid breakdowns.
• Using recommended chemicals to avoid damages.
• Chemicals are kept safely after use to prevent losses.
• Making sure that all machines are switched off when not in use.
• Practices strict Health and Hygiene in dressing and work habits in order to maintain high standards.
• Checking and making sure that all equipment and fittings in the laundry are in good working condition to avoid accidents.

Requirements

• Previous experience in laundry
• Ability to work independently and a team player
• Basic knowledge of laundry equipment operation
• Good communication skills
• Attention to detail and good time management.

Education & Experience

• 5 Years’ experience in laundry management
• Certificate in laundry Management
• Malawi School Certificate of Education

Working Conditions

• May be required to work weekends or evenings.
• Exposure to cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for long periods.
