Position: LECTURERS
Development Aid from People to People (DAPP) Malawi is a locally registered NGO that has been operating in Malawi since 1995. Our mission is to work with the communities by promoting social and economic development through health, education training, food security, and environmental programs. Our work in development is guided by social cohesion and respect for humanity, implemented through innovative and cost-effective programs. Through a variety of development models, DAPP complements the government’s effort in implementing the Malawi Growth and Development Strategy.
DAPP Malawi is inviting suitably qualified, experienced, and interested candidates to apply for and when successfully fill in the existing vacant position of a lecturer tenable at its four Teacher Training Colleges of Amalika in Thyolo District, Chilangoma in Blantyre District, Dowa in Dowa District and Mzimba in Mzimba District.

Amalika TTC
Education Foundation Studies taught together with either Life skills or Social and Environmental Studies
Science and Technology taught together with either Life skills or Social and Environmental Studies
Chilangoma TTC
Science and Technology taught together with either Life skills or Social and Environmental Studies
Mathematics taught together with either Human Ecology or Religious Studies
Dowa TTC
Life Skills and Expressive Arts (1)
English and Chichewa (2) Those who have been trained in Foundation Literacy will have an added advantage
Mzimba TTC
Education Foundation studies taught together with either Agriculture or Human Ecology
Science Technology taught together with either Agriculture or Human Ecology
Purpose of the job
To build a student teacher and the college to become another kind of teacher and college respectively as described in the DAPP Malawi Teacher Training program manual book and by being active and showing responsibility and initiative in the implementation of college activities.
Key Performance Areas
The position holder will have overall oversight maintenance of all aspects of records of the subject areas you are allocated to teach which include but are not limited to; lesson planning, resource development, teaching, and updating of teaching profession records.
Qualification and Attributes
Highly disciplined and self-motivated persons should have a T2 certificate with at least 2 years of primary school teaching experience and an academic minimum qualification of a Bachelor’s degree in education obtained from institutions accredited by the National Council for Higher Education, NCHE.
