Christian Aid is seeking to recruit Key Personnel for a GBP8M climate resilience programme which
is expected to run from February 2023 until March 2026. The programme will take a participatory
approach to developing and delivering climate justice interventions that tackle inequalities exacerbated by climate change and build communities resilience to the material and social effects of climate change. As the Lead Service Provider, Christian Aid will have responsibility for coordinating the scoping, design, development and delivery the programme. The Lead Service Provider will also lead monitoring, evaluation/learning and will have ultimate responsibility for on-the-ground delivery through local delivery partners. The local delivery partners will facilitate community participation and will implement the programme interventions.

We are looking to hire for the following positions based in Lilongwe

MACCSS Team Leader

The Team Leader is responsible for providing leadership and delivery of results for the programme.
The post holder is required to ensure programme resources are allocated effectively and in a manner
that makes maximum contribution to programme objectives and is compliant with the donor’s and
Christian Aid’s requirements. This role will include leading a team with technical input and ensuring
effective management and delivery of the programme and appropriate support for partners.

Key deliverables include ensuring quality project, budget management and ensuring demonstrable
results. They will engage and network with relevant actors in relation to the programme and the
contract between the donor and Christian Aid. The post holder with the support of the Malawi Country
Director and UK based Head of Service Contracts is responsible for ensuring that the programme is
delivered in accordance with the contract.

Candidates for this job should have at least a Master’s Degree in relevant social sciences.
