Detailed Job Descriptions

1. Carpenters

Job Summary: Assist in road construction works with a focus on formwork construction for pipe and box culverts.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Proven experience in carpentry work on construction projects

• Strong knowledge of formwork assembly and concrete shuttering

• Ability to interpret construction drawings

• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision

2. Steel Fixers

Job Summary: Specialize in reinforcement steel works for structural elements in road construction projects.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Proven experience in steel fixing for construction projects

• Strong knowledge of reinforcement bending, cutting, and installation

• Understanding of structural reinforcement requirements

• Ability to work accurately according to engineering specifications

3. Quantity Surveyor (Claims Specialist)

Job Summary: Manage, prepare, and submit all contractual claims related to the road project.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in quantity surveying on road construction projects

• Strong understanding of road construction contracts and claims procedures

• Excellent communication and professional report-writing skills

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Preparation and submission of interim and final payment applications

• Management and preparation of variation orders and time extension claims

• Cost monitoring and reporting

• Measurement and valuation of completed works

4. Bridge Engineer

Job Summary: Supervise all bridge construction activities ensuring the highest quality standards are met.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in bridge and road construction projects

• Strong knowledge of structural design principles and site supervision

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Supervision and quality control of all bridge construction works

• Reviewing design drawings and specifications

• Preparing method statements and inspection requests

• Ensuring work complies with project specifications and safety standards

• Copies of academic and professional certificates (for Engineering and Quantity Surveyor positions)
