Who we are?
Life Ministry Malawi is an Interdenominational Christian Organization that has been serving the Malawian Church since 1979. We do this through Evangelism and Discipleship among High School and Campus Students, Professionals, Executives and Churches. We are looking for a qualified person to fill the above mentioned position.
Key Responsibilities

Providing administrative assistance, such as writing and editing emails, drafting memos and preparing communications on the NTL’s behalf

Supporting the accounts office by performing basic accounting and bookkeeping tasks
-
Supporting the Human Resource office with administrative work as and when needed
-
Maintaining comprehensive and accurate records, documents and reports of special projects
-
Organizing meetings, including scheduling, sending reminders and organizing catering when necessary
-
Welcoming visitors and identifying the purpose of their visit before directing them to the appropriate department
-
Managing the NTL’s day-to-day calendar, including making appointments and prioritizing the most sensitive matters
-
Coordinating travel arrangements (both domestic and international) and creating trip itineraries

Making requests on NetSuite, clearing advances and preparing financial statements, reports, and other documents
-
Using various software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software to prepare reports and/or special projects

Filing and retrieving corporate records, documents, and reports

Researching and preparing documents for review and presentation by boards of directors, committees, and executives

Helping to prepare for meetings

Accurately recording minutes from meetings

Opening, sorting and distributing incoming emails, and other correspondence from the national office email

Provide general administrative support

Engaging in field ministry once a week

Any other duties assigned by the NTL from time to time
Qualifications
-
Must be a born again Christian and an active member of a local church
-
Holder of at least a Diploma in business administration, or a related field or equivalent work experience
-
Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably in a non-profit or ministry environment
-
Have a valid driving license
-
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Strong written and verbal communication skills in the English language
-
Proficiency in using office software such as Microsoft Office Suite, and database management systems
-
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accuracy and confidentiality
-
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
-
Flexibility and adaptability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities
