VACANCY – OPERATIONS OFFICER

Cargo Train, a leading transport and logistics company operating between Malawi and South Africa, is recruiting an Operations Officer.

Role Purpose

To ensure efficient daily transport logistical support for company operations through procurement and delivery of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Reporting southbound tracking updates
• Following up with clearing and forwarding agents
• Sending pre-alerts to border clearing agents and customs
• Preparing weekly and monthly operations reports
• Reporting truck delays or breakdowns
• Ensuring truck availability for loading
• Supporting transport contractual agreements
• Maintaining documentation related to procurement and transport logistics
