About the Organization

GoodVision Malawi is a German Non-Profit organization registered in Malawi as OneDollarGlasses Ltd. and certified by CONGOMA. Our mission is to provide high-quality glasses to all people in need nationwide.

GoodVision Malawi is seeking applicants for a 4-week training in optical frame manufacturing, with the opportunity to secure a position as Optical Frame Manufacturers upon successful completion of the training.

Position Description:

Optical Frame Manufacturer produce eyeglass frames in strict accordance with company quality standards, utilizing solely company-authorized materials and equipment, to ensure consistent excellence in every frame produced.

Position responsibilities may include:

• Adhere to the production process as trained and demonstrated by the company
• Manufacture a wide variety of optical frames, encompassing the entire product range
• Align production activities with the requirements outlined in the production plan
• Adhere to inventory management protocols
• Uphold and comply with all company policies and regulations

Education and Skills:

• Minimum of Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or equivalent
• Must be able to speak and understand English and Chichewa
• Manual dexterity and attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions and quality control guidelines
• Familiarity with materials used in optical frame production (e.g. Steel wires)
