This is an unpaid part time role that allows you to make a lasting difference and offers a unique chance to be part of a dynamic team committed to empowering girls in our community.

Job Summary: The Mentorship Officer is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing mentorship programs within the organization. Work to connect mentors and mentees, provide training and support to both parties, and track the progress of mentorship relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop program guidelines, goals, and metrics for success.
  • Coordinate the application and selection process for both mentors and mentees.
  • Conduct orientation sessions for mentees to help them understand their roles and responsibilities in the mentorship program.
  • Use a systematic approach to match mentors and mentees.
  • Regularly check in with mentors and mentees to assess relationships progress.
  • Provide ongoing support, resources, and guidance to mentors and mentees.
  • Prepare program reports and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Promote the mentorship program internally and externally to attract new participants.
  • Maintain clear and regular communication with program participants.
  • Maintain accurate records of mentorship program activities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Previous experience in mentoring, coaching is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of mentorship best practices and principles.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Flexibility: This position allows you to work remotely and in person only during planned events and activities based on the requirements of the job.
