Overview

An excellent opportunity exists for enthusiastic and well-motivated Pharmacist to join Lilongwe Adventist Hospital with its main duty to monitor the implementation of the pharmaceutical services.

The Candidate should be an experienced Pharmacist with excellent track record of Pharmaceutical Service Management in either Public or Private sector.

Knowledge and Skills required for the complete satisfactory performance in this job are:

1) Supervise implementation of pharmaceutical protocols
2) Prepare documents for procurement of equipment, consumables, medicines and related substances.
3) Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for delivery of pharmaceutical services and patient care.
4) Tender analysis, preparation and management.
5) Drug and supplies management.
6) Ensuring the adherence and compliance of the Pharmacy Medicines Regulatory Authority (PMRA) laws by the Company.
7) Generates information for maintenance of medicines and related substances registered.
8) Ability to manage and maintain adequate stock of medications.
9) Monitor efficient use of material resources and equipment allocated to the unit.
10) Strong verbal and written communication skills.
11) Good negotiation skills.
12) Identifies training needs for pharmacy and scientific personnel.

Qualifications and Experience

1) Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy OR Equivalent.
2) Registered and in good standing with Pharmacy Medicines and Poisons Board of Malawi.
3) At-least 2 years working experience in a public or private pharmacy setting.
4) Ability to work in a result-oriented team environment is a must
