Malawi National Examinations Board
The Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB) is a parastatal organization established by an Act of Parliament to conduct such academic and other examinations at the conclusion of any approved course in Malawi as it may be considerable in the public interest and award certificates to successful candidates in such examinations.

Principal Procurement Officer (M4)

The officer will be reporting to the Executive Director
-
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
a. Supervising staff in Procurement section
b. Providing adequate and timely procurement support to all programme activities, including appropriate supplier contract management, acquisition of goods and services
c. Ensure all procurement in compliant with Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets Act
d. Ensure protocols and processes are in place and strictly adhered to
e. Preparation of procurement and Disposal plans and returns for the designated procurement activities
f. Managing implementation of procurement plans
g. Ensuring that tender process according to laid down deadlines
h. Assist in Managing annual organizational budget
i. Manage the timely supplier prequalification exercise and approval process
j. Contract administration to ensure delivery of goods/services is in accordance with contract terms and purchaser’s requirements
k. Sourcing, negotiating and reviewing supplier contracts
l. Leading a strong procurement team
m. Assisting in developing and reviewing organizational procurement policies
n. Managing supplier relations and performance
o. Preparation of procurement reports
Qualification and Requirements:

Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement and Supply in Chain Management or professional qualification in Supply Chain Management (CIPS Level 6)

Must have a minimum of four (4) years working experience in a reputable establishment

Must be a member of MIPS
