Overview
CARVE Africa is seeking a dynamic and experienced Program Manager to lead and oversee our diverse portfolio of projects in Sexual Reproductive Health Rights and Menstrual Health, and Hygiene. The ideal candidate will bring strong project management skills, a strategic mindset, education/teaching experience, an entrepreneurial spirit, UN experience, and the ability to drive successful program outcomes. Experience in SRHR, MHH, and/or GBV.

Responsibilities:
Program Leadership:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of multiple projects within the organization.
- Ensure alignment of programs with organizational goals and objectives.
Team Management:
- Lead and mentor a team of field officers, field coordinators, health workers, and specialists.
- Foster a collaborative, engaging, cohesive team where honesty, humor, and humility are pivotal.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with partners, donors, and stakeholders.
- Represent CARVE Africa at relevant forums and events.
Budget Oversight:
- Manage program budgets, ensuring effective utilization of resources with full transparency to ED.
- Contribute to fundraising efforts and grant applications.
Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks for programs (assist MEL).
- Regularly assess program effectiveness and make data-driven improvements.
- Constantly adapting and creating effectiveness through a critical lens.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- At last 5 years with proven experience in program management, preferably in the non-profit sector.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, fluent in Chichewa and English.
- Results-driven with a commitment to achieving program objectives.
Location:
The position is based in Lilongwe with frequent travel to districts throughout Malawi. No international travel required
