Dominion Foundation Limited (DFL) is a subsidiary of Great Dominion Holdings Limited (GDHL) whose vision is to pride wishes that will give hope to the disadvantaged in need in communities across Malawi. DFL’s mission is to transform communities by generate resources through fundraising initiatives and community partnerships, and use those funds to make an impact in the lives of disadvantaged. Through our volunteer community programs, the Programmes Manager will work across Malawi and build trusted relationships with stakeholders who share our goals and values. DFL invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the challenging position of Programmes Manager.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPOSIBILITIES

  • Lead in providing support to the elderly, orphans, widows and disadvantaged persons
  • Lead in relieving poverty and contribute towards community development
  • Provide consultancy work to individuals and organizations as from time to time be deemed fit
  • Collaborate with local and international organizations in carrying our daily intended objectives
  • Foster mutual co-operation support and understanding between and among NGOs in Malawi especially those with similar or same objectives
  • Invite or receive donations and contributions whether by subscription or otherwise
  • Carry out commercial activities for consolidating the funding process
  • Provide financial assistance, to make grants, loans and donations to institution formed for all or any of the of the objective
  • Print or publish any newsletter, periodicals, books or leaflets DFL may think desirable for the production of its services

Qualifications, Experience and Attributes

  • Must be a mature Christian with Degree in Community Development or Business Administration backed up with 5 years of proven experience of providing support for upper level management in a similar position
  • Proficiency in Windows, including MS Word, EXCEL and PowerPoint and fund-raising data management systems knowledge helpful.
  • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including staff, management and external partners
  • Previous experience working with development and fundraising programs to increase funding sources for DFL
  • Excellent writing, editing, grammatical, organizational, and research skills.
