Position: Public Relations Manager and Personal Assistant to the GDHL President
Location: Lilongwe
Overview
Great Dominion Holdings Limited (GDHL) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Public Relations Manager and Personal Assistant to the President. The successful candidate will manage the company’s public image, develop and execute public relations strategies, and provide executive-level administrative support to the President.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Public Relations Responsibilities
• Develop and implement public relations strategies, campaigns, and initiatives to improve public perception of the GDHL Group.
• Write and produce presentations, press releases, and promotional materials.
• Organize and manage promotional events such as press conferences, exhibitions, and corporate tours.
• Maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, influencers, and industry professionals.
• Analyze media coverage and adjust communication strategies as necessary.
• Manage the company’s website and ensure up-to-date content.
• Oversee public communications during potential crisis situations.
• Identify and capitalize on new promotional opportunities.
Personal Assistant Responsibilities
• Provide daily administrative and executive support to the President.
• Design and prepare digital artworks and graphic materials as needed.
• Manage the President’s calendar, travel arrangements, and correspondence.
• Prepare expense reports, meeting agendas, and briefing materials.
• Coordinate logistics for internal and external high-level meetings.
• Communicate on behalf of the President with senior management, board members, and key stakeholders.
• Draft reports, letters, proposals, and formal communications.
• Act as the President’s chauffeur when required.
Qualifications, Experience, and Attributes
• A mature Christian with a Degree in Business Administration or Mass Communication.
• At least 5 years of proven experience providing executive support to senior management in a similar position.
• Possession of a clean and valid driver’s license (obtained within the last 3–5 years).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with data management systems is an advantage.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong time management, problem-solving, and research abilities.
• High integrity and professionalism in all dealings.
