Position title
Regional Sales Manager
Purpose
The position exists to:
- Develop and implement the Sales strategy at regional level in both general and Modern Trade
- Attain optimum efficiency and effectiveness of the company’s route to market and activation regionally,
- Achieve Sales targets and execution objectives for all the Castel brands.
Responsibilities
- Providing leaderships to the Sales force regionally and ensuring 100% compliance of Numeric Distribution, opening new markets, enhancing brand visibility and ability to do Seven Steps of a Call etc
- Overall in charge of attaining optimum efficiency and effectiveness of the company route to market
- Achieve company volume and execution objectives for all Castel Malawi
- Reporting on marketing intelligence, market insights and market Analyse sales trends from time to time and advising management on action plans to fix probelms.
- Ensuring that all Castel Malawi assets in the trade are well managed and utilized to our standards aligned to the Trade Key Performance Indicators
Key Performance Indicators
- Volume Targets: To achieve 100% of the volume targets set for the various product categories, through the sales organisation.
- Execution Targets; To achieve 100% targets on Numeric Distribution, Price Compliance, Visibility, route compliance, Order deliveries and truck turnaround time, through the sales organisation.
- Customer Accounts; To ensure 100% credit limit and ageing on all customer accounts in line with set rules on bank guarantees.
- Forecasting & Production planning; To ensure accurate forecasting on all product categories for smooth product availability.
- Sales Organisation; To ensure at all times the availability of a suitable sales organisation capable of delivering company objectives.
- Implement the trade execution standards in line with the Picture of Success and ensuring 100% compliance with staff visit rates of all regional territories.
Qualifications
- University Degree in Business Administration, or Economics or Marketing or any related field.
- Hands-on experience and good understanding of sales management, selling steps and processes in the FMCG.
- 5 years or more commercial experience advantageous

- Knowledge of how business operate
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to report using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
