Location: Lilongwe, Malawi

Budget: MWK 375,000

Role Description.

The Sales Account Manager will be responsible for leading market expansion, developing and nurturing critical relationships that will grow business, strengthen the company’s position in the industry, and build engagement and retention while managing a high performing team. The holder of this role will be responsible for the organizational efficiency of the business towards a better, faster, cheaper structure, achieving quality and efficiency in all areas of the business.

Key responsibilities:

1. Developing and maintaining relationships with key clients: This involves building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and ensure their satisfaction with the company’s products or services.

2. Identifying and developing new business opportunities: This involves researching and identifying potential clients, partners, and markets, and developing strategies to approach and secure new business.

3. Generating revenue: Sales account managers are responsible for meeting and exceeding revenue targets through upselling, cross-selling, and new business development.

4. Creating and implementing sales strategies: They develop sales strategies to identify new opportunities, increase sales, and enhance customer relationships.

5. Managing sales processes: Sales account managers are responsible for managing the sales process from start to finish, including lead generation, qualification, proposal creation, and contract negotiation.

6. Providing exceptional customer service: They ensure that clients receive the best possible service, resolve any issues or complaints promptly, and serve as a point of contact for ongoing support.

7. Collaborating with internal teams: Sales account managers work closely with other departments such as marketing, product development, and customer service to ensure seamless execution of the sales process.

8. Analyzing data and trends: They analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and make data-driven decisions to improve sales performance.

9. Managing client expectations: Sales account managers are responsible for managing client expectations, ensuring that they are realistic and achievable.

10. Conducting market research: They stay up-to-date with industry trends and conduct market research to identify potential opportunities for growth.
