JOB SUMMARY

Maziko Pvt Secondary School is a Co-education institution with both day and boarding Scholars located along Liwonde-Balaka road at Mangochi turn -off. The School is founded on the firm belief that every learner is unique, but all learners need excellent education to be well developed as future responsible citizens and leaders, hence the School moto” Center for Great Success”. Its mission is to achieve distinction and excellence in academic performance and conduct.

It is against this background that Maziko Pvt Secondary School wishes to engage the teaching services of candidates who meet the required qualifications and experience as follows:

POSITION:

(a) Chemistry and Biology Teacher

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Preparing schemes and records of work, lesson plans and lesson notes.
  • Preparing, administering, marking and recording students`test scores according to deadlines given.
  • Identify and prepare effective teaching and learning materials.
  • Create and maintain a conducive teaching and learning environment.
  • Checking learner behavior and making sure it is consistent with school rules and regulations the school is currently enforcing.
  • Identifying suitable methods of teaching and assessing the Students.
  • Monitoring Students` performance and arranging for revision and study circles.
  • Carry out any other duties assigned from time to time.

(b) Geography and History Teacher

Qualifications

❖ A Diploma in Education or a Degree in Education or its equivalent.

Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of 3 years working experience.
  • Must be between the age of 30-50 years.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Must be a self- starter.
  • Retired teachers have an added advantage.
