Position Summary

Tigawane Family House seeks a passionate and dedicated Social Educator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the social, emotional, and educational development of children under our care through mentorship, life skills training, and psychosocial support.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide guidance, mentorship, and emotional support to children and adolescents.
• Develop and implement educational and recreational programs that promote personal growth and social integration.
• Work closely with teachers, caregivers, and social workers to monitor children’s academic and behavioral progress.
• Organize life skills and value-based education sessions.
• Prepare regular reports on children’s progress and welfare.
• Promote discipline, respect, and positive values among children.
• Participate in community outreach and child protection awareness activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in Social Work, Community Development, Child Psychology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with children or youth in an educational or social setting.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and counseling skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and handle sensitive issues with confidentiality and empathy.
• Experience in organizing extracurricular or educational activities will be an added advantage.
