Essential Qualifications & Skills
• Good degree or equivalent
• Teaching qualification – PGCE & QTS
Desirable Qualifications & Skills
• Evidence of further education (e.g. MA)
• Evidence of teaching IGCSE, BTEC and A-level
• Evidence of middle leadership training
• SENDCo qualification
• Level 7 Examination Access Arrangement qualification
Essential Experience
• Teaching experience
• Leading a department
• Experience of teaching students with SEND
• Experience of using baseline data in teaching
• ICT literate
• Knowledge of standardised testing
Desirable Experience
• Experience of curricular development
• Evidence of systematic professional development
• Educational Psychology
• Examination Access Arrangements
• Experience of English as an Additional Language (EAL)
