About the role
The Temporary Support Warehouse Operations Supervisors (3) assists the Warehouse Operations Senior Supervisor with all daily warehouse operations. You will be a part of the Logistics Team and will report directly to the Warehouse Operations Senior Supervisor.

Note: The successful candidates will be offered a nine-month contract. On-the-job training will be provided on One Acre Fund’s warehouse tools and applications. The role is tenable in our 3 warehouses, located in Blantyre, Liwonde and Lilongwe. Interested candidates must be willing to work in the specified districts. One Acre Fund will provide support for employee relocation in-line with our internal relocation policy.

Job Description

• Warehouse Operations

  • You will comply with all warehousing and logistics policies and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) which include warehouse excellence, expectations around Inventory reconciliation SOPs, and more.

  • You will manage casual labor including scheduling of their work shifts and sending work info to the support team for payment request.

• Documentation/Transaction Tracking

  • You will ensure all transactions are accurately entered using the warehouse management system promptly.

  • You will ensure all required documentation is attached to all transactions.

  • You will ensure any issue is escalated to the Management promptly.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Business Operations, Supply Chain, Agribusiness, Business Administration, Logistics or related field.

• 1-2 years of logistics, warehouse and operational experience.

• Experience managing staff previously is an added advantage.

• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Basic computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office (Knowledge in inventory management software will be an added advantage).

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

• Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols in a warehouse/office environment.
